What to expect on a Sunday

Visiting a church for the first time can feel like a lot. Here's the honest rundown, so nothing surprises you.

Wear whatever

Jeans, work boots, Sunday best — all of it walks through our doors every week. Nobody is checking. Truly.

Kids are welcome

A staffed nursery and Cedar Kids (ages 3 to grade 6) run during the service — or keep your kids with you. Wiggles and noise don't bother us.

Parking is easy

Free lot beside the building, accessible spots by the main doors, and street parking on Chapel Hill Road. A greeter will point you the right way.

About 75 minutes

Music, a short reading, a sermon in plain language, and prayer. We're done by 11:15, and the coffee afterwards is optional but recommended.

No one will single you out, ask you to stand up, or pass you a clipboard. If you'd like to talk to someone before you come, send us a note — we'd love to say hi first.

Ministries

Life together, all week long

Kids & Nursery

Cedar Kids runs during the Sunday service for ages 3 to grade 6, with a staffed nursery for the littlest ones. Trained, screened volunteers and a simple check-in at the front door.

Youth

Grades 7 to 12 meet Friday nights for games, food, and honest conversations about faith. Bring a friend — half the group started as somebody's friend.

Small Groups

Mid-week groups that meet in homes around Harbourton to share a meal, study Scripture, and actually know each other. New groups launch every fall and winter.

Food Cupboard

Open Tuesday and Thursday mornings, no questions asked. Groceries, hygiene items, and a warm hello for neighbours in a tight month. Donations welcome any Sunday.

Seniors' Coffee & Care

Wednesday mornings in the fellowship hall — good coffee, better company, and rides arranged for anyone who needs one. Occasional outings and a lot of laughter.

Our team

The people you'll meet first

Rev. Micah Aldercroft

Lead Pastor

Micah has served Cedarcross since 2014. He preaches most Sundays, makes a strong pot of coffee, and believes the front door of the church should be the easiest door in town to walk through.

Tessa Marwood

Children & Family Ministries

Tessa leads Cedar Kids and the nursery team. A former elementary teacher, she is the reason the craft cupboard is organized and the reason it never stays that way for long.

Caleb Fenwright

Worship & Youth

Caleb leads music on Sundays and hangs out with the youth group on Friday nights. He plays five instruments and will happily teach you the easiest three chords on any of them.
